In the last couple of days, Nora and I have spent a great deal of time passing objects back and forth. Yesterday it was a teething necklace; this morning it was my paycheck. "Oh, for me?? Oh, thank you!" "Here you go!" And repeat, ad infinitum. This feels like a milestone, though I haven't seen it mentioned in my "Your Baby This Week" emails or baby books.
Of course, when it's something I really want her to give me-- like the spoonful of cottage cheese that I'd prefer she not throw on the floor, or the handful of my hair pulled taut from that sensitive spot right behind my temple-- she's all, "No speeka da Engleesh."
